MODERNITY MEETS FUNCTIONALITY

This contemporary home stands out against its rural landscape, with every square meter carefully thought out to maximise functionality.  Despite being built to be an ancillary dwelling, it hardly feels like a secondary residence as it offers the comfort, quality and finishes of a full-sized custom home. Despite being modern in nature, the home fits harmoniously into the regional scenery, with its Midland Brick Treasury Red Tumbled face brickwork and COLORBOND roofing. The Madison Builders team carefully worked around the existing mature trees.

Through meticulous and close planning with trades people, the team was able to create a home that enhanced the property while respecting its established character and natural setting. Being built in a bushland area, bushfire compliance was of utmost importance. The team was able to meet these requirements all while maintaining the cohesive contemporary aesthetic of the build. The home was designed with functionality and light in mind. To achieve this, the orientation of the home was carefully considered. High raked ceilings alongside high-set windows and large sliding doors also allowed plenty of light to flood into the home.

Cohesion between the indoor and outdoor spaces was also of utmost importance to the client. The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area create an inviting and spacious feel. Featuring Stone Ambassador Terazio stone benchtops and a solid Marri timber island, the kitchen also adds warmth and a natural character to the home. The neutral colour palette of the home further expands upon the home’s timeless aesthetic. The open floorplan not only helps the home feel larger but also allows it to seamlessly connect to the natural setting outside, making the most of the beautiful bushland surrounds.
