This timber framed home by Madison Builders stands out for its unique character and thoughtful design details. Situated on a generous 20,034m² property, the home is carefully positioned to maximise the use of the designated building envelope. The layout was planned with precision to work in harmony with the rest of the infrastructure on the site, ensuring both practicality and efficient use of space.

The home exudes warmth and charm with its wide wraparound verandahs, earthy materials and spacious layout, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels right at home in its rural setting. The generous alfresco areas create a seamless connection to the outdoors, while the use of James Hardie Oblique cladding further enhances the home’s modern aesthetic while maintaining timeless appeal. Distinctive features, such as the lined ceiling, exposed brick columns paired with timber posts, custom cabinetry, stone benchtops and beautifully finished master ensuite further elevate the home.

The project began with an incomplete steel frame. The client wished to retain and utilise the existing concrete slab footprint, so the steel frame was removed and a new timber frame design was developed around it. The client’s vision was a practical, energy-efficient home with plenty of character and enough space to comfortably accommodate visiting guests. The result is a beautifully finished home that reflects their goals in both form and function.

This project was completed efficiently within a seven-month timeframe thanks to clear communication, thorough planning and strong collaboration between the client and design team. Jon from All Aspect Design finalised the overall layout, while Caris at Vibe Design Studio collaborated with the client for all internal and external selections. As the builder, Madison Builders partnered with the client throughout the process to bring their vision to life, making thoughtful adjustments and improvements along the way to achieve the best possible outcome.
