This heavily-sloped site in East Fremantle, which is subject to harsh environmental conditions, was destined to be a hefty feat for any landscape designer, however, Tim Davies Landscaping’s expertise proved to be what was needed to create a relaxed, coastal space that reflects the homeowners’ personality. The initial brief was to ‘green-up’ the outdoor space and to soften the existing hard elements of the landscape. To create this, Tim Davies Landscaping implemented a native coastal palette using varying textures, colours and sizes to create a layered planting scheme. The incorporation of mature transplant Frangipanis adds an additional sculptural feature to the elevation of the property, and stands to welcome visitors to the home. As well as this, an ingenious placement of outdoor lighting is really the icing on the cake, with the use of adjustable spike spot lights, as well as clever placement of light to highlight the sculptural quality of the transplanted Frangipanis.

The finished product is both masterful and visually appealing, with level changes in the heavily-sloped verge being addressed by a series of natural stone floating platforms that complement the architecture of the abode.
