This recent masterpiece by Oswald Homes is a refined mid-century modern home that superbly merges into its Floreat streetscape – exuding timelessness and the sense it has always belonged. Conceived with a steadfast focus on connection, longevity and
liveability, the home embodies a profound respect for both its architectural heritage and the distinct lifestyle of the homeowners.

The clients desired a residence that would evolve with their family – providing a purposeful separation between adult and children’s zones, with the latter featuring generously sized bedrooms, en suites and ample storage. The open-plan living space is the heart of the home, where glass frontage and a verandah allow for a constant visual connection to the park opposite, while still offering access to a rear entertaining area complete with a kidney-shaped pool – another nostalgic acknowledgement of the mid-century era. An undercroft garage enables the elevation of the home, enhancing street presence and park views without compromising aesthetic.

Drawing inspiration from the era in which Floreat thrived, this home is a thoughtful, era-sensitive design that feels both grounded and elevated.
