It was the homeowners’ love of the bush that drove the design. The brief was centered around the surrounding landscape and asked to leave as much as possible untouched. The homeowners also wanted a passive solar design, which the team at LOOP Design + Build expertly delivered.

The company achieved a passive solar design through careful planning in conjunction with the arbourist, who retained the trees around the property and maximised the northern orientation of the building. The home’s features include spotted-gum cladding, which was chosen for its beautiful colour and high fire rating, and stunning picture windows, which were carefully positioned to frame the landscape.

The home also has multiple energy- and water-saving features, including a 50,000L water tank, a solar hot-water system and a 2kW solar power system.
