For this project, the client approached Alternative Kitchens for a welcoming open-plan kitchen with semi-industrial styling that mirrored the aesthetic of their home. As avid bike and music collectors, the clients wanted a kitchen that reflected their personality, while still being functional and modern.
The kitchen was designed with a practical galley-style layout that includes a coffee station and plenty of spacious cabinetry, which complements the clients’ family lifestyle. A floating shelf above the sink and bright-yellow open shelves are positioned to display sentimental collectibles for a unique charm.
The island bench features an artistic kickboard and an extended ‘Bianco Carrara’ marble benchtop, which provides ample space for food preparation and entertaining. The cabinetry is fitted with a mix of push-to-open and finger pull handles to ensure easy access during the clients’ busy routine. During the kitchen installation, Alternative Kitchens also designed and installed a home office, a laundry, two
bathrooms and a walk-in wardrobe for the client.
