For this project, the clients were looking to downsize to an airy, low-maintenance home, but didn’t want to sacrifice the things they loved about living in a large house. Designed and built by Mondo Exclusive Homes, their new doublestorey home caters to contemporary living, while making the most of every square inch.

Featuring a coastal-inspired façade that showcases thick Scyon™ Linea™ weatherboards, the home’s aesthetic and architectural design perfectly harmonises with the other properties in the neighbourhood. With a sophisticated palette of dove grey and cream, as well as ashy herringbone-patterned timber-look flooring, the interior spaces exude a soft and welcoming indoor ambience.

The open-plan layout – with carefully considered hallways – results in an uncluttered and well-designed space.

Stainless steel accents and 40mm Caesarstone marble-look benchtops imbue the space with a sleek and modish atmosphere.

The living area and theatre room are divided by an eye-catching double-sided fireplace, which serves as a striking centrepiece that simultaneously adds visual interest and warmth to the home.

As the property borders a tranquil nature reserve and ornamental lake, Mondo Exclusive Homes was mindful to ensure the homeowners could fully enjoy the peaceful views. Overlooking the in-ground swimming pool, bushland and picturesque lake, the elevated alfresco dining area flows seamlessly from the rear of the home and provides the perfect spot for relaxing or casual entertaining.

The upper floor has three king-sized bedrooms, each with custom-designed walk-in wardrobes. The main bedroom features a sumptuous en suite, which includes a spacious walk-in shower and double vanity.

A luxurious communal bathroom and a cosy reading alcove are also located on the upper floor. Full-height double doors provide access to a charming balcony that overlooks the streetscape below.

As is often the case when downsizing to a smaller home, storage was a key concern for the clients. With three separate linen cupboards, an under-stair storeroom, a garage and an attic, Mondo Exclusive Homes cleverly maximised space to ensure the home comprised plenty of storage facilities.

The entire property is fitted with LED downlights, and also includes an energy-efficient solar-power system on the roof.
