The home embraces passive solar design and orientation to naturally regulate the property’s temperature, minimising the need for expensive heating and cooling systems.

This gorgeous abode was constructed using rammed earth, creating a unique, warm, earthen look that is reminiscent of modern Mediterranean architecture. Perfectly complementing the upper floor’s Linea Weatherboard cladding, the rammed earth provides superior thermal mass, adding functionality to the home’s aesthetic appeal. Aiding the home’s temperature regulation, European-inspired Climateframe tilt-and-turn double-glazed windows also assist with the home’s ventilation.

One of the client’s priorities when constructing this home was to create a safe environment for their future. All of the materials used within this home have been scrupulously selected for their environmental impact, allergenic properties, nontoxicity, and energy saving capabilities which can be observed throughout the property – including the minor details like the low VOC paint used to decorate the residence.
