REJUVINATED FUNCTION

INVITING AND RELAXING

This beautiful outdoor space was created by Tim Davies Landscaping to integrate with the indoors. the client required renovations to produce a connected area to be used for entertaining and relaxing.

Tim Davies Landscaping concealed most of the boundary walls with foliage to provide the greenery that the clients requested. An additional feature wall with vines makes a great statement piece, and the colours of the leaves will change throughout the year.
simple and drought-tolerant plants were used in the landscaping to ensure the space will be easy to maintain without limiting greenery. the use of frameless glass fencing around the pool allows the entire space to be admired from within the home.

Tim Davies Landscaping was required to marginally reduced the size of the swimming pool to allow for a more functional flow. to accommodate this alteration, the fencing needed to be repositioned. to enhance the functionality of the space, an existing pillar was removed and entry to the adjoining games room was made possible via bi-fold doors.

The raised deck features a long lounge that is perfect for relaxation, with trees planted on either side to add a resort-style appeal to the space. the travertine paving links the pool and alfresco areas together for a cohesive flow. An outdoor showerhead was installed behind the fencing to ensure no chemicals from the pool will affect the surrounding furnishings.

Tim Davies Landscaping is a multi-award-winning company that strives for excellence in the delivery of unique landscaping solutions. For an innovative and functional outdoor spaces, look no further than Tim Davies Landscaping.

Project 1

A RESIDENTIAL RAINFOREST

THE AMAZON MEETS THE SUBURBS

For this project, Tim Davies Landscaping (TDL) created a contemporary and relaxed atmosphere, which complements the house and pool that was constructed by Oswald Homes.

The mature Amber tree at the front of the house is a striking feature that inspired the home’s overall garden design. As well as creating kerbside appeal, TDL transformed the rear outdoor area into a tranquil and private landscape, which encourages casual meandering and lazy afternoons lounging by the pool.

Using only the finest-quality materials, TDL used products from Amazon Soils and Watergarden Warehouse, as well as plants from the company’s own nursery. Using a combination of trees, shrubs, accent plants and climbers, TDL has created a beautiful and low-maintenance garden full of lush green foliage.

Established in 1983 by Tim Davies, a former president of the Landscape Industries Association, TDL is a leading landscape architecture practice that specialises in the design, construction and maintenance of quality residential, commercial, civic and remote landscapes.

The recipient of a number of awards, including awards at the Landscape Industries Association of WA, the company is based in Perth, but has the resources to undertake projects anywhere in Australia.

TDL goes above and beyond to ensure its clients are left with a beautiful outdoor landscape that can be admired for years to come.

Project 2

COASTAL ELEGANCE

MASTERFUL COURTYARD DESIGN

This beautiful seaside garden oozes both coastal charm and sophisticated elegance, and, as the winner of the Contractor Residential award at the most recent Landscape Industries Association of Western Australia (LIAWA) awards, is an outstanding example of the outcomes Tim Davies Landscaping (TDL) consistently achieves.

A careful balance of plants, modern structural planning and lively textures has made this entry courtyard a real stand- out without detracting from the masterful design of the modern apartment complex. TDL has created a communal space that perfectly complements the building’s architectural style, while also suiting the coastal and low-light conditions of the sloping block.

Two recycled steel dishes have been used as planters, while steel edging has been incorporated into the landscape design to retain the mondo grass feature. Mature frangipanis were also transplanted into the garden to increase its aesthetic.

Project 3

CLASSIC CHIC

FORMAL DESIGN GETS A TROPICAL TWIST

This majestic garden was created to perfectly complement the somewhat formal home it surrounds. neat edging and topiaries abut softer grasses, lush climbers and the wispy foliage of a majestic jacaranda. structure is also found in frangipani trees and the striking silhouettes of abundant agave, which set off the tropical edge that makes this otherwise formal garden so unique. the result is an inviting outdoor space that is as beautiful to look at as it is to spend time in.

In pursuit of the perfect landscape to suit their home and lifestyle, the owners procured some extra space from the neighbouring property, which gave tim davies landscaping an even bigger canvas on which to bring to life this layered and well-thought-out space.

The garden is defined by a very simple palette of plants, with small and medium varieties kept consistent throughout so that feature trees (including citrus) have even more impact. unlike many gardens of this size that tend to have a singular central area with surrounding garden beds, tim davies landscaping created zones in the garden that are like outdoor rooms for entertaining and relaxing. Expansive stretches of lawn create a parkland feel in the urban environment, inviting the residents to picnic and play in their very own backyard.

In keeping with the formal theme, the garden beds are bordered with cobblestone, which also joins travertine to pave the hardscaped areas and pool coping. the contrast of these two stones adds visual interest, and their combination perfectly complements the home’s exterior, as well as the glistening blue water of the swimming pool.

Garden lighting accentuates all the area’s best elements and completes the landscape design, which tim davies landscaping takes great pride in maintaining.
