BRINGING HOMES BACK TO LIFE

REVITALISING DESIGN

The best move is not to move.

Love where you live? The only problem is your house. It’s a little tired. A little cramped. And there’s a lot about it that’s just not right anymore. Maybe a new kitchen and entertaining area is what it needs, or additional bedrooms, perhaps.

Or even a second storey. The options are endless. But your budget isn’t. Thankfully, that’s where Dale Alcock Home Improvement (DAHI) comes in. The team at DAHI loves transforming homes, and with more than 1000 successful projects behind them, there really isn’t a situation the company’s designers haven’t seen before. DAHI will visit your home, talk about the way you like to live, and offer some very clever ideas on how to bring your home back to life.

For the past 25 years, Dale Alcock has been a leader in the WA housing market. The company is very robust, very stable and very experienced; three very good reasons why you can be 100 per cent confident in the quality of DAHI’s work.

Dale Alcock Home Improvement specialises in extensions and renovations. Having completed so many renovations ranging in value from $50,000 to $1 million, the scope of work the company undertakes means it is big enough to deliver and small enough to care. Pictured above is DAHI’s new demonstration home. This special character home was purchased by DAHI to unveil the mystery that surrounds the home improvement process and to showcase a renovation product unique to the market. What was originally a 2x1 small character home has transformed into a 4x2 family home with study.

This stunning newly-renovated home by Dale Alcock Home Improvement delivers the epitome of spacious, comfortable family living. Located in Perth, the home is a testament to the outstanding level of quality the company has become renowned for since its inception in 1996.

Designed and built in the 1970s, the home was in desperate need of a makeover to bring it into the 21st century and provide more space for the owners’ young growing family. With the help of DAHI, the tired and dated building, described by the clients as a “Brady Bunch-looking” house has been transformed into a sophisticated contemporary family home.

At the heart of the chic second-storey addition is a self-contained parents’ retreat, which includes a new main suite, an open-plan ensuite, dressing room and a spare room, while the downstairs area has been transformed into a large open-plan living space.

The area includes a lounge room, kitchen and dining area, which opens onto the large alfresco area through the full-height glass sliding doors. The floor-to-ceiling windows also give the illusion of a larger living space, providing uninterrupted views of the outdoor area.

A combination of different finishes has also been incorporated into the design. The original brickwork and exposed pine panelling on the home’s façade has been replaced with limestone, Colorbond and rendering to create a unique, modern aesthetic. Inside the home, the Caesarstone benchtops and cabinetry utilise timber and neutral-coloured tones to create a unique, modern look.

This renovation has breathed new life into this once out-dated design, transforming the family home into a modern marvel that the owners can be proud of, and will be loved and admired for generations to come.
